The B Series were the original automatic kilns. They were made from about 1992 until 1998. B Kilns generally feature a simple program control but some had the first DynaTrols and there are a few with unusual controls. They had a type of cone sitter that L&L made which functioned like the Dawson kiln sitter except that the action of the cone bending actuated a small microswitch that interrupted current to the relays.
We highly recommend that any older kiln, especially one over 25 years old, be evaluated by a competent professional for safety.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you need to replace elements on a B Series kiln then all elements must be replaced at one time.
Parts for the control systems are no longer available for these kilns.
